Interior Colors that Will Make Your Office Pop

One of biggest things you can do to create a certain atmosphere for your office is paint the walls. Choosing the right paint color is a big decision, as it has the power to set the tone for the whole office. What colors are best for an office setting? Let’s take a look at some of the best colors for an office space to help create the environment you want to create.

A subdued office space with dark walls

Neutrals

Neutral colors such as beige or gray are a great option for an office space because they look clean and modern. While beige, gray, or greige may not make a bold statement, they do look professional and clean. Traditional white walls, while also clean and bright looking, tend to give off the impression you just didn’t bother to paint at all. If your space is on the smaller side these lighter colors will also make the room look larger. Some good examples of these types of colors are Classic Gray by Benjamin Moore or Soft Focus by Behr.

Blues

Shades of blue are another popular choice for office spaces, especially in creative lines of work. Blue is a welcoming color and isn’t too intrusive, but also adds some interest and depth to your office. When selecting a blue, however, look for a soft blue with some gray undertones to it. You don’t want a bright blue that is difficult to look at, but rather a soft and soothing color. Some good office blues include St. John Blue by Benjamin Moore and Oval Room Blue by Farrow & Ball.

Go Dark

Another great option for an office space is to combine a neutral color with a deep, rich color, such as a dark navy or deep gray. A dark color will surely make a statement, but just make sure it has a muted tone or it will become overwhelming. If painting the entire office a dark color feels like too much, consider an accent wall in a dark color. If you have a very small office space, however, you’ll want to stay away from too much dark on the walls or your space will feel even smaller. Some great statement colors include Gentlemen’s Gray by Benjamin Moore and Studio Green 93 by Farrow & Ball.
